Part 5: HW- Page 42: Read the text and prepare exercise 1 as a presentation for the class (2 min aprox). Some students will be recorded and will receive their speech via email so that they can listen closely to themselves and reflect on their strengths and weaknesses when speaking English.

Question from students: What's the difference between IN FRONT OF - OPPOSITE

They are both PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE.

Compare:
  • There's a bus stop in front of the school. (The bus stop is on the same side of the road as the school)-in front of is often the opposite of behind
  • There's a bus stop opposite the school. (The bus stop is on the other side of the road)
